As my friends and family get older, it gets more and more difficult to find them gifts that don't suck. Anything they want - they typically buy themselves (or can't afford which means I can't afford it either).
Gift cards are easy and people can buy exactly what they want. The downside, gift cards can just be plain tacky, thoughtless and impersonal.
What a pickle. What to buy.
